How much can I make per hour？
On average, teachers on Aixue can make $50-$100 per hour.
Who decides the price of the class?
Teacher decides the price of the class. We as the platform will provide some recommendations to set up the class for success.
As a fair price policy, we require you to set the same price across different platforms. For example if you also teach the same class on another platforms, the price needs to be the same. Otherwise it will cause varies issues.
Do I have to be a licensed teacher?
We welcome licensed teachers to teach on our platform though that's not a requirement.
For individuals, you'll also quality if you are licenesed, have notable achievements or have extensive industry experiences in the subject matter you teach.

How do I know where my classes are listed on your website?
We take care of class setup for you and will send you the links to the classes once they are live. You will know how exactly your class page look like and and request for modifications as you see fit.
Can I setup classes myself?
Currently all classes are taken care of by our dedicated customer support team and that's what most teachers feel comfortable doing.
For those who'd like to manage their own classes, we can also enable the feature of self-managed classes for you.

How and When do I get paid?
We support multiple payment options. Paypal, Vendmo, Zelle, Bank Transfer are all available.
For new teachers, we issue payments before class starts so you are confident going into a class knowing you are taken care of.
For long term teachers and teachers who have lots classes offered, we would like to switch to a monthly payment schedule to manage the payment more effectively.
Do I have to sign a contract?
There's no contract to sign for new teachers, because we want to keep things simple for you.
Once a new teacher has worked on our platform and feel comfortable to continue for long term, we will have a contract available to sign.
Do you withhold taxes for my payment?
We do not withhold taxes. A standard W9 form is needed when you decide to work with us long term, and you will be responsible for the tax filing and deduction.
Are the students on your platform ESL students?
Majority of our students are 2nd generation Chinese American, i.e. native English speakers.
Some may be ESL students. But you can be confident going into a class assuming everybody is native English speakers. Except for classes specifically designed for ESL students.
How is my privacy protected?
We do not disclose teacher's full name anywhere on the website or during our promotion to avoid unsolicited inquiries.
We encourage teachers to provide a short introduction video to help promote the class, but that's not required.
All images and video of the teacher are provided by the teacher, we do not take them from elsewhere without prior consent. Copyright of these content are 100% owned by the teacher. If you wish to take down any of them, just write to us and we will take care of it within 24 hours.
